I have no recollection of exactly where these were taken. It was, you know, in the…hills. We’ll go with that. My knowledge of the surrounding area is still lacking. It’s a process, people.
But anyway. This was another ATV ride through the hills. It started out green and grassy, then the ground dropped away to red hills. I don’t have a picture of that because the road got very steep and I was hanging onto my husband for dear life. It probably looked like he was carrying a large backpack, I hung on so tight.
There were flowers! For which I have no names, but still! Flowers!
Something’s skull. You see a lot of bones out here. I imagine there are plenty in Wisconsin as well, but they get covered up by plants.
(I would love to find a buffalo skull. It’ll never happen, but it’s good to have goals. Even weird ones.)
Lots of cactus. Cactuses. Cacti. Whatever. These are a type of prickly pear cactus.
My mom looked at this rock and thought it looked like a crocodile, so she pointed at it and said, “look, we found crocodile rock!’
She was very proud of herself for that pun, so I thought I’d include it.
All in all, not a bad day. Though, I am pretty certain at this point in my life that the whole 4-wheeling thing is not for me. The scenery is lovely, but my favorite way to get around is as nature intended. On my own feet.
See you later!
