After a year and a half of showings and top-to-bottom house cleanings and trying to sell a house in an area that isn’t exactly hopping, real-estate wise…

We sold our house. The husband and I are officially homeless.

(If you have no idea what I’m talking about, read this post.)

I don’t like to talk about certain things here on Ye Olde Blogge until everything is settled and finalized. There is nothing worse than SHARING! SOMETHING! EXCITING! and then having to backtrack later on, so I kept my lip zipped about the house. Since November the husband and I have been cleaning, packing, and making endless trips to Goodwill. And getting an extra truck key, and a tonneau cover, and making sure the dog’s shots are up to date, and packing 14 boxes of books, and giving away furniture, and about 112 other things.

It’s going to take awhile for things to get back to some kind of normalcy around here, so until then I’ll be posting sporadically. And mostly about packing.

Until next time,
Lady In-Transit

  1. Congratulations! My sister also recently sold her house and moved after many years of living there. Her house was also in an area that wasn’t exactly hopping, real-estate wise so YAY for both of you. Hope you get settled exactly where you want to live. Your buyers are getting a sparkling clean house! All the best to you, your husband and your dog during your transition.

    1. Thank you! It’s frustrating to wait and wait for your house to sell, so I’m glad your sister finally sold her house as well.
