There used to be an ‘On My Bookshelf’ tab up above, but I deleted it – partly because it wasn’t a very popular destination, but also because it was a very long and cumbersome list. As a visual person I would rather see a picture of the cover instead of a long list of titles, so now I’ll be doing a monthly roundup of books instead.
Alas, this month there’s only one book. Sad face. Life’s been a bit busy as of late, and reading has been on the back-burner.

Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park was…not bad, I guess? You can guess the ending before it happens, at any rate, which is always a bummer.
I’m currently reading a Lord Peter Wimsey novel, and that will end up on next month’s roundup. With any luck.
As always, click on the Goodreads button in the sidebar to keep up with my bookish activity.
See you later!

  1. The most recent book I read was "The Art of Racing in the Rain" which was excellent even though it made me cry. When I'm reading a good book, I end of staying up too late at night not wanting to stop so it's a good thing I take a break between books.

But, what I really wanted to tell you is my weekend discovery in my basement. I have multitudes of Rubbermaid-type bins in the basement that store our Christmas decorations. This weekend I noticed another bin that I, apparently, had not accessed in some time. Imagine my surprise when I opened it to discover not only treasures from junior high and high school, but all of my sewing patterns from the early 70s! And guess what? I immediately thought of you when I saw that stack of Simplicity, Butterick and McCall's patterns.
