I hope everyone had a good holiday! This year was a good one, and I’m pleased to start out 2015 on a Photo Friday because….I got me a new camera. That’s right! No more complaining about the old one, that is my gift to you.

The new camera is a wonderful, massive machine. And once I figured out where the heck everything was, I slapped that baby into manual mode and haven’t looked back. It’s how I used to take pictures, back in the day, on a ye olde film camera.

To say that it’s thrilling, being able to manually focus where I want the damn thing to focus, is a gargantuan understatement.

SO. PLEASED.

Anyway.

I’ll be back on Monday, with actual things to talk about. Hopefully.

Have a good weekend!

  1. Yay for your new camera! These pictures are terrific.

We stayed home New Year's Eve and tried to take our dog outside several times during the evening, but every time she heard a loud sound, she turned around and headed for the door. She hates the sound of firecrackers and, apparently, there was a lot of celebrating within earshot.

New Year's Day was celebrated with greens and Hoppin' Johns (rice and black-eyed peas). Hopefully, we ate enough to bring us wealth (the greens) and good luck (the black-eyed peas) in the New Year.

Hope 2015 will be a good one for all of us.
