It was a warm weekend, well above freezing. It was dee-lish-us.

Of course it meant spending time outside, a thing I was most grateful for, even if it revolved around throwing firewood into the basement. The dog joined us, but was not helpful with the firewood.

The fog wasn’t bad in the morning, but by the afternoon it had thickened and when we left the house, it was…dense.

Today is the last warm day before the temperatures dip back down below freezing. I shall enjoy it while I can.
I’ve been skipping a post a week for awhile now, as I’m sure you have better things to occupy your time than listening to me talk about firewood and the annoyance of driving a truck that needs new front shocks (it’s like bobbing around in a life raft), but I’ll be skipping this week’s Wednesday post again in lieu of Thanksgiving. I shall be in the kitchen, up to my elbows in pastry.
I’ll be back here for Photo Friday, which will probably be a picture of pie, because PIE.

  1. That wasn't just fog, that was FOG! Glad you had a break, however brief, from the freezing temperatures. After very cold weather (for us) last week, we are enjoying a gorgeous day. The forecast promises colder weather tomorrow, so today's warm weather is a gift I'll gladly accept.

Have fun making pies and have a happy Thanksgiving.
