The dust has barely settled from the living room remodel, so let’s just jump into the kitchen, shall we?
This is not going to be a full-on remodel, as I think the husband would rather serve me divorce papers than redo the entire kitchen right now. That, and the room is about halfway to where we want it anyway. At the moment it just needs a few touch-ups. I picked out that orange color that’s on the walls when I was in my ALL THE COLOR ALL THE TIME phase, and it’s time for a change. (That phase is also responsible for the bathroom being the color of cooked spinach, yikes.)
Here are a few kitchens I’m looking at right now that are giving me some serious
My kitchen could maybe look like this (lolz) if I gutted it. But seriously, how gorgeous.
I’m really reaching for shit here, but that’s okay. This kitchen is perfection.
I’m really diggin’ on open shelving. Dust be damned! (I should maybe remortgage the house to buy a stove like that. Yowza.)
Years ago I removed a few of the kitchen cabinet doors and painted the insides of the cabinets white in order to have a few open shelves. Now I just want to go whole-hog and remove the upper cabinets. Or move them around a bit and intersperse them with shelving.
It’s a lot to think about! The paint color is already picked out (same as the living room, thanks to having an extra gallon that needs to be used up before it gets gunky) and we just need to figure out The Shelving Situation and perhaps consider new light fixtures.
I just know y’all are riveted, so I’ll keep the blog updated on the kitchen progress. Which, as we all know by now, will move at the pace of a tortoise with two sprained legs.
See you later!
