More birds. I love the birds.
These are cedar waxwings. I was out walking the dog last week and spotted them in a tree. They sat still even when I got fairly close, so I was able to get a few nice pictures. These are kin to the bohemian waxwings that were featured in a Photo Friday in 2012.

Preeeeetty. I think it’s official now that I’ve become one of those bird-watching people. I want to buy a bird feeder for the front yard but need to come up with a squirrel/chipmunk/black bear battle plan first.
Have a good weekend!

  1. What beautiful birds and the setting in the flowering tree is gorgeous. What kind of tree is it? I never see Cedar Waxwings in the South so you are indeed fortunate to have them.

  2. I think Cedar Waxwings are lovely birds. I don't get to see them too often, though. I am totally captivated by birds. I can be completely distracted by a random bird just standing there. Yesterday evening I was on my deck with my camera taking photos of a Robin and babies in a nest in a maple tree next to my deck.
