I mentioned last week that there were photos I’ve been meaning to share but things are backed up on my end. Okay that didn’t come out right, but you know what I mean. This first bit isn’t super exciting to anyone but me, but worth sharing. It’s my party and I’ll blog if I want to. Last week…I cut my hair. It looked like this:

And now it looks like this:

It’s like the Liberation of Borneo. My head actually feels lighter now that it’s not carrying around 14 feet of hair. It was so long I just didn’t know what to do with it anymore besides braid it or plop it all on top of my head.

Now I can pin curl it again.

And I am bound and determined to master finger waves.

Again, all very exciting to me and no one else.
In other news, October has sucked like a Dyson so far this year, but things are finally calming down and getting back to normal. This past weekend was a good one, I helped my husband’s mom and sister can pumpkin.

My mother-in-law meant business.

So. Much. Pumpkin.

It wasn’t bad with 3 of us working on it, but we were all a bit slap-happy after 4 or so hours. The weekend also involved venison with biscuits and gravy, skidder dismantling, and a photo op with this poor apple tree.

It was an overachiever this year and is paying the price. It’s like a magic apple tent.

I’ll be back in a few days, catching up on more exciting happenings. See you then!
