In two days I will open my Etsy shop. August 11, people. The cheese becomes more binding. (Wait. Huh?)

You may be wondering why I picked August 11. The date was picked semi-randomly (like everything else I do, it seems) but was also based upon the date I got my state business tax registration and seller’s permit. There is a waiting period from the time you get the license to when you can begin to sell. Yes indeedy, I am doing all this correctly. I hope.

Most of the inventory is ready to roll, the business cards are here, I ate my Wheaties this morning, and have my game face on. Any other cliche you can think of is applicable.

I thought today would be a good time to give everyone one more sneaky peeky into the shop before it actually opens.

This is a lovely butter-yellow shirtwaist dress, size 14. The waist is elastic, and I believe would fit a 10 or 12 quite well.

This coat was made in 1951 for the Air Force, size 35.

Old Squirt soda bottles. Not the most riveting items on the planet, but still lovely. I have a few of them placed in a window so that greenish light filters into the room. Very nice.

I love the bright primary colors on this old oil can. I saw one of these Big Pay cans on display in a ’50s themed diner. Very cool.

Well there you have it, a sneak peek at 4 more items that will be listed in the shop. To see everything else that will be for sale, you’ll have to check out starting this Thursday. It will take me a few days to get everything listed, so keep checking back!
